We build our own software products. That is how we build yours.
Tankar Solutions is a CMMI Level 3, ISO 27001-certified software company in Ahmedabad. We build SaaS platforms, AI systems and mobile apps for companies in the US, UK, Middle East and Australia, and e-governance systems for Indian public bodies.
What we build
Three areas we lead with, and the capabilities that sit around them. Each links to the service page with the deliverables, the process and the stack.
Custom software and SaaS product engineering
Platforms built around the way your business runs, and SaaS products built to be sold and run.
- Custom software developmentWeb platforms, internal systems and integrations built to the way your business runs, from a scope document to a supported release.
- SaaS product developmentMulti-tenant SaaS products taken from an idea to paying customers, built with the discipline Tankar uses on its own products.
AI, machine learning and generative AI
Models and LLM applications with an evaluation set, a cost per query and a safety review.
- AI and machine learning developmentPrediction, classification, matching and forecasting models built into the products and processes where they pay for themselves.
- Generative AI and LLM solutionsRetrieval-augmented generation, document intelligence, copilots and agents built on LLM APIs, with evaluation and safety designed in.
Web and mobile application engineering
Sites and apps measured on how fast they load and how well they work on a low-end phone.
Selected work
Each case study sets out the problem, what was built and the stack behind it. Outcome figures appear only where a source backs them.

Industries we build for
Each industry page lists what we build for the sector, the compliance rules the build follows and the related work.
Where we work
Tankar works with companies in the United States, the United Kingdom, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Australia, and with government and municipal bodies in India. Each page has the local time difference, what buyers there check first and the work that applies.
How we work
The same stages Tankar runs on its own products. Each one ends with an artifact you can open rather than a status update.
- 1
Discovery
Understand the problem, the users and the constraints, then write down what will be built and what it will cost.
- What it produces
- Scope document
- Written estimate within 48 hours of the scoped call
- Risk register
- 2
Design
Turn the scope into screens and flows that can be clicked through and tested before engineering starts.
- What it produces
- Clickable prototype
- Design system tokens
- Architecture note and data model
- 3
Build
Engineers build in sprints against the prototype and the architecture note, with progress visible every week.
- What it produces
- Weekly demo
- Shared project board
- Code in your repository from week one
- 4
Test
Check the product against the scope, the design and the performance and accessibility budgets before anyone outside the team sees it.
- What it produces
- Test plan
- Automated test report
- Accessibility and performance audit
- 5
Launch
Release to production in a controlled way, hand over the knowledge, and confirm the product is running as expected.
- What it produces
- Release checklist
- Runbook
- Handover session
- 6
Run
Keep the product healthy after launch: monitoring, fixes, security updates and a monthly view of what to do next.
- What it produces
- Monthly report
Engagement models
Every model runs through the same process, with a named project manager, a weekly demo and your code in your repository from week one.
Fixed price
Best for: A defined scope with a clear end state: an MVP, a website, a well-specified module or an integration.
Dedicated team
Best for: Ongoing product development where you want engineers who know the codebase and stay on it, working as an extension of your own team.
Time and materials
Best for: Evolving products, research-heavy work such as AI features, and engagements where the backlog is set sprint by sprint.

Questions buyers ask before the first call
How much does custom software development cost?
There is no price list because the cost depends on scope. After a scoped call you get a written estimate within 48 hours, with the engagement model that fits: fixed price for a defined scope, time and materials for evolving work, or a dedicated team for ongoing product development. There are no hidden costs: the estimate shows what is included and what is not.
How long does it take to build an MVP?
An MVP typically takes 8 to 12 weeks from discovery to launch. You get a written estimate with the timeline within 48 hours of a scoped call, and a working demo every week so you can see progress against it.
Who owns the intellectual property?
You do. We sign an NDA before discovery, the source code lives in your repository from week one, and full IP assignment happens at final payment.
How will we communicate during the project?
You get a named project manager, a weekly demo and a shared project board that shows the work in progress. Anything the project manager cannot resolve is escalated to a director within 24 hours.
How do you keep our code and data secure?
Tankar is certified to ISO/IEC 27001 (information security), ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO/IEC 20000-1 (IT service management), and appraised at CMMI Level 3. An NDA is signed before discovery, and your code stays in your own repository from week one. The security page describes the practices in detail.
What happens if someone on the team leaves?
Work is delivered by a pod (a project manager, a designer, engineers and a QA engineer), so knowledge is not held by one person. The code is in your repository from week one and the project board is shared, so the record of the work stays with you.
